Welcome to ECS Advising!

NOTICE!!!! We are in the process of improving our advising services by hiring additional advisors and restructuring our advising model for a more specialized approach.We now have “First Year Here” advisors “Upper class” advisors.

Advisors are assigned by the first two letters of your last name and are no longer assigned by majors. While we are in transition, you may have different advisors as we add new advisors and shift the alphabetical advising assignments. Please return to this page when you need to contact your advisors as your advisor may have changed. We appreciate you patience through this process as we strive to improve our service to our students.

If this is your first year at UTD, you will be advised by a member of our “First Year Here” team. If you are not new to UTD, you will be advised by a member of our “Upper Class” advising team who work with students from their second year at UTD through to graduation. Your advisor is listed by teams and then by the first two letters of your last name.

NOTICE! We have switched our appointment scheduling software to Accudemia, which is used in the Student Success Center.
